Our Resignation:

In the past year alone I have wanted to become many things… A Lifeguard, EMT, Nurse… (WAIT people throw what up????....) Photographer, Administrator, anything to do with the Planned Parenthood and working with teens, teaching them about STD aka STI. Oh and you can’t forget Swim Instructor. Drew on the other hand, is an Engineer through and through. He always had the best couch fort with the most stable design, despite what Coaly thinks. He is a true Mr. Fix it. From your bike, to your computer, back to your car, he can fix it. With all of my uncertainties and his ability to fix anything I formally announce our resignation from a semi care free couple. For we are about to enter it to the world of parenthood.

Sincerely,
Drew and Keri

The Paternal Grandma is ready and the Maternal Grandma is experienced. Wish we both lived closer to help and spoil Baby O-M.

Vin and I are officially Auntie Jess and Uncle Vin...though I know we don't technically deserve the titles....I WANT THEM DAMMIT! :)

Congrats, ker :) I wish I knew anything about chitlins to help advise you on---:)

You are gonna be on kick ass mama :) I can't wait til you get a belly!! Can I come out and take pictures of it?!?! and teach you belly dance? (the cutest belly dancers were the prego chicks)

Oh, and when your kiddo is old enough I reserve the right to:
-teach them about art
-if its a girl, teach her belly dancing (little girl belly dancers were freakin adorable!) and hey if your little boy wants to learn, what the hell :)
-ALSO, I want to be there when you give them the talk. I have no idea why...I think I just want to hear all the funny ways you present it (ex. "you don't go in the water without a life jacket") and I'll be in the background laughing my head off and making it uncomfortable :)

I hope I don't ever step with your sis too much----it's cool though--she and I can teach the dancing together :)

HOLY COW!!!
I figured you guys would eventually become parents... it's just that you were in denial about wanting to ever enter the club. :)
I'm excited for you two! Having dogs is good practice, believe it or not... although, the poor pooches always take a back seat with the real baby comes along. :)
Keri, when are you due?

Keri said...

HahA Nat I was in denial for a few days after we found out i'll tell you the story on day over a hot coco at JB's sound good!! we are due sometime in Aug. And of course Jess you can do all of those things even the sit in talk. because Remember don't just pack it wear your jacket.

Congratulations! All of that practice paid off! I cannot wait to see your baby. A story would be nice.

remember that time i shot the gap in front of a diesel while turning toward kmart in the ranger of danger and you and breana were so terrified you didn't even scream? (sorry about the run-on sentence...)

that's the kind of speechless i feel right now. i would like to say something really clever so i'll have to get back to you. i'm not supposed to be up this late...in honor of the occasion, i'll add that i was taking care of the baby who thinks midnight is our fiesta time!

oh, and i am excited so congratulations!

and don't you dare tell natalie or wendi any stories before you tell me!!!

HOLY CRAP!!!!!! And "NatPalmer" says having dogs is good practice? Has he actually spent any time with your dogs? lol

Seriously...take a deep breath...you'll be fine ;-). This baby will be a blessing in disguise. I can hardly wait to hear the tales of pregnancy and parenthood!

Congrats...really!

NatPalmer is a she.
And I've spent time with Coaly.
And I remember Drew & Keri following her around & doting over her like she was a baby. I thought, "They're already acting like parents! This is proof they'll eventually have a real kid some day!" :)

My first comment to Keri was: "Well I guess we will have to get rid of the dogs." We have talked to many people who have gotten rid of their dogs just because they had children. Damnit people train your dogs, its not hard! Coaly and Zephy were verry curious and VERY gentle around our new neice Chloe at christmas time. I still like the sign that Keri's sister, Miranda gave us for christmas: Pets are welcome, children must be on leash.

Sorry NatPalmer...me not know *shrug*. And, I wasn't implying that they were bad dogs in any way...they are free-spirited, just as I suspect their child will be...and that's a GOOD THING!

Drew...no way you can give up the dogs...they are to be the guardians of the baby and I'm sure they'll welcome the little one into the pack immediately!

Again, congrats to both of you! I can hardly wait to visit, and babysit ;-).

Shit. Yay! Shit. Yay! I am totally weirded out by this, Ker... you know that right? Because I remember when you were born. And I love that Drew said it would piss me off that now the fam will go visit you guys first, and I will be forever unvisited. Hope you stop puking soon. :)

woo hoo!!!!!!! congrats you guys!! i agree with everyone else i didn't think it would happen for awhile. I'm super excited for you and you will be a great mommy!!!

It's okay Paula. Friends? I agree with you... I invision baby Miller as a little hippy. I don't know why. :) That would be hilarious if it were a girl & Keri dressed her all foo-foo. We'd all be shocked.

Drew- of course you shouldn't get rid of the dogs! We've had our dogs for 6 years & although they may not be as spoiled as they once were (before the real babies came), they're still a part of our fam! Our boys love them & they love our boys. Logan is very proud that he gets to feed them every day.

Okay, I'll stop adding my 2 cents now. Over kill, I know.

miranda i am also weirded out. i cant believe keri that you are going to have to be responsible for another human being but you are good at telling people what to do and you can be very patient good qualitys in a MOM and if you screw up just have drew fix it.

Keri said...

Oh you guys are funny and i wish you Natalie and Paula new eachother to know they where saying the same thing no need for madness we are all friends ;) And the puppies or here to stay i even think Coaly would be a good sitter!! Ok maybe not

Now with Angela's announcement, Troy and I realized that our younger siblings will collectively have seven children (nine if you count pets). I wonder when his other two siblings will get busy.

Congrats!!!! You will be a great mom. Parenthood is the best and hardest thing you can do so get ready to enjoy. So have you been very sick? I hope your doing great.

Paula said...

keri...I think Coaly will be a great babysitter/protector and Zephy will just steal toys! ;-)

Can I start making baby stuff to send you?

Samaria Project said...

WOW I leave for a day and a whole conversation went on without me!

I agree with Natalie and Paula....
#1. KEEP YOUR PUPPIES! Or, give them to Vin and I...I call Coaly for sure! But, for reals---they will be great kiddo pooches
#2. I can TOTALLY see the drew/ker baby being a little hippy and I am freaking excited! We will have another lil hippy to add to our ranks :)

Samaria Project said...

I think all of this will feel more real when I see Ker's cute pregger belly....

p.s. I've already learned how to make you maternity jeans using jeans and a tshirt :)

Miranda said...

Jess - what about maternity hoodies?

Samaria Project said...

Miranda: I'm on it ;)

I also found these things that are belly warmers/belly concealers/belly pressure relievers....

They look pretty easy to make. :)
